1. Toy Train


Kalka-Shimla Toy Train
This is UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India and it is 150 years old. Kalka to Shimla toy train should be your top priority. it will show you breathtaking view of Shimla while passing through hills. It is beautiful to see the other end of the train. The best time to see view is early in the morning so that you can see the beautiful Sunrise with the birds twitter and feel the fresh air.

2. The Mall Road

The Mall Road of Shimla
is full of cleanness and well maintained. The best time to walk on mall road is 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Must take early morning and evening walk on Mall road with your loved once but shops will open after 9 am. you can also enjoy the beauty of sunset at valley.. You can also do some shopping which will cost you high. Do not forget to try some popular food outlets like Tripti, Sher-E-Punjab and Guptajee's Vaishnav Restaurant, you can taste fresh Bhel puri with slightly different taste at local bhel puri wala near Simla Club at Mall Road.

3. The Ridge

4. Lakkad Bazar

Do not forget to hike at Lakkad Bazar, Shimla. It is near to mall road and ridge where things made of wood will be offered.

5. Kufri

If you are traveling after January then you should go to Kufri for snow view. It is 45 minutes drive away from the Mall Road. Kufri is popular for adventures activities in Shimla, here you can go for activities as mentioned below, however you have to see the cost of these activities.

Cab driver will offer you multiple site location view in kufri for one day trip but believe me if you truly want to enjoy for all tourist places then one day is not enough. So for one day visit you should go for adventures activities or you can book a hotel in kufri for more time.

Time :- 30 to 60 minutes per activity

 6. Jakhoo Temple

Jakhoo Temple in Shimla is at the Highest peak of Shimla. A giant 108 feet tall Idol of Hanuman ji at Jakhoo hill.The statue of Hanuman ji is overlooks the city of Shimla. You can also see view of this idol from The Ridge as shown in picture.

7. Christ Church

Ans:  You can take flight, train or road route to reach Shimla but train route will be the cheapest, comfortable and fun.If you are going to opt flight then you need to take flight till Chandigarh and from there you can opt for cab, bus or train. Train to Shimla will start from kalka railway station which is next railway station from Chandigarh railway station. 

If you are going to travel by train then look for train till Kalka Railway Station and from there

enjoy ride with toy train. Best train is shivalik express from Kalka to Shimla at 5 a.m.

Buses are also available from different cities and will drop you at Shimla bus stand.

Driving by road will depend on distance and cost from city you going to travel.

Flight: Time :- 2 hours (till Chandigarh ) ,  Cost - INR 2000 to 4000 per person

  • If you want to stay for long go for Dharamshala, Hostel or Paying Guest in Rs. 100 per Day to Rs. 8000 per month.
